Thoughts on the TCG Crossover event

There is a large pool of Pokemon spawning in the wild for this event. Magikarp, Pikachu and Alolan Rattata are all spawning which is ideal for anyone looking to still try and complete those medals.

The shiny for Spinarak looks really smart and is available in the event.

Pidove is in the wild and is one of the cheapest Pokemon to evolve so ideal to stock up on for evolution XP spotlight hours

The raids for the event look decent with a good selection of mega Pokemon as well as some useful Pokemon to raid for, for gym holding (Chansey, Snorlax etc). Mewtwo in raids gives a chance to get one with its legacy moves; Shadow Ball in the first week and Psystrike in the second week

Having shiny Meltan back is nice and an increase in the amount of Meltan boxes you can complete during the event is excellent to get lots of Melmetal giving its versatility in all forms of the game (PvP, Rocket battles, gym holding etc)

The collection challenges will appeal to players that like having challenges to do, and of course the release of a new Pokemon will appeal to players that love collecting new things they don’t have
