The ranking system will also return after being removed during the interlude season. For full details of the new battle league season check it out here.

Thoughts on the Season of GO

First and foremost the bonus of Guaranteed XL candy is a fantastic addition returning as a boost for this season. It will make grinding level 50 Pokemon a much easier task and 100 trades a day now becomes a mandatory task for hardcore players who want to grind the most

Having  2 special trades a day is also really useful for doubling your chances of getting lucky legendary Pokemon faster

The Eggs pools are ok without being outstanding and having additions like shiny Axew available is nice

The battle league returning to a ranking system will appeal to hardcore battlers, although many probably enjoyed the stress free approach to not having a ranking system to win or lose points especially when the battle league is still so volatile with its lag and glitches.

Hopefully the GO fest events will be a great success both globally and in person especially given the cost of the ticket prices

Likewise im hopeful that good Pokemon will be selected for the Community days and those events will be enjoyable and motivate people to take part in them

The boost for incense when moving returns, its just a shame Niantic don’t listen to their larger player base and keep that boost increased at all times when using incense to make what is a fabulous game more accessible for the masses (something that will benefit everyone including Niantic as more people playing means more money for them!)
